Water is fundamental to all life. Yet with less than one percent of the water
on the planet available for human use and global consumption doubling every
20 years, potable freshwater has emerged as a preeminent environmental and
public health challenge in this century.
The Park Foundation is committed to raising public awareness of freshwater
issues — particularly availability, quality, and accessibility. We seek
strategic and sustainable solutions to these challenges at a national level,
with a specific concentration in the eastern United States.
